Brownscombe shortlisted in prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2020

We have an extra reason to celebrate this month after being shortlisted in the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design  Awards 2020, which recognises the very best developments in all types of care-related property.

Our latest development,  Brownscombe Care Residences, has been selected as a finalist in the category of ‘Best Regeneration Project’. The newly built Brownscombe Lodge residential care home and supported living apartments in The Cottage is set within three acres of terraced landscaped gardens.

Shortlisted by a panel of judges including healthcare architects, interior designers, valuers, lenders and operators, Brownscombe Care Residences will now be visited for inspection, and a winner for the category decided. Winners will be announced at the Healthcare Design Awards presentation evening, which is due to take place at The Royal Lancaster London on Wednesday 11th March 2020.

As a finalist in the awards, we’ll also receive a £500 cheque payable to our chosen charity - the Phyllis Tuckwell Foundation; a Hospice Care service for adult patients, and their families, living with cancer or another terminal illness in West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Additionally, we will receive a trophy recognising their achievement for display in the project.

Speaking of the nomination, Nazira & Liakat Hasham founders of CHD Living, said “We feel honoured to have been shortlisted in the category of ‘Best Regeneration Project’ at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2020. As a group, the development of Brownscombe Care Residences has been one of our biggest and most exciting projects to date. Determined to offer the very best facilities for the benefit of all, it has very much been a collaborative experience between staff, residents and their families - who were all consulted regularly during the design and build process - and we’re delighted for our efforts to have been recognised in this way.”

The Healthcare Design Awards, which Pinders has been organising since 1999 becoming one of the most prestigious events in the healthcare calendar, also seek to acknowledge the contribution made by homeowners, designers and architects to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care – irrespective of the homes size, budget or category of care. The judges look to reward quality of care achieved through good design, rather than design alone.

Now taking reservations, each of the 25 large, private, full en-suite bedrooms at Brownscombe Lodge will come equipped with a multi-positioning, electric profiling care bed, an HD flat-screen TV, private telephone line, free Wi-Fi, option of SKY TV and a nurse attendant system. In addition, there is a range of facilities on offer to residents, from a bistro with live show kitchen and chefs table, a cinema room with IT suite, hairdressing and spa facilities, landscaped terraces, all weather winter garden, Japanese sensory garden and aquarium.
